Asdi Utina started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Rendy Koswara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kurniawan Bisri. Rendy Koswara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Johan Assegaf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Wawan Setiamiharja got a free kick in the 16th minute. Brama Puang hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. SAPI FC's Akri Hasyim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Assegaf in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Awan Zulhaji was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAPI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX SC the free kick. In the 20th match minute, SAPI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Awan Zulhaji to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SAPI FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Adolf Karundeng hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Leo Kawilarang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute Wawan Setiamiharja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akri Hasyim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Wawan Setiamiharja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Awan Zulhaji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurniawan Bisri having to interfere. In the 40th minute Leo Kawilarang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akri Hasyim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akri Hasyim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Assegaf in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Assegaf in the 42nd minute of play forced SAPI FC's goalkeeper Akri Hasyim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when PHOENIX SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Kawilarang didn't get a good kick on the ball. SAPI FC made a substitution. Mario Hermansyah replaced Rendy Koswara. SAPI FC's Aziz Bawono was substituted for Awan Zulhaji. PHOENIX SC's Deden Amiruddin was substituted for Bagol Kalla. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when PHOENIX SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Kawilarang didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Leo Kawilarang struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Akri Hasyim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PHOENIX SC. With an all-out effort, PHOENIX SC's Akri Hasyim threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johan Assegaf, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 57 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's Johan Assegaf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Akri Hasyim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Asdi Utina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Aziz Bawono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akri Hasyim made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Johan Assegaf sent off a good shot on target. Johan Assegaf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Akri Hasyim made a huge save. Wawan Setiamiharja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Hermansyah in the 78th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Kurniawan Bisri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deden Amiruddin came free, but Akri Hasyim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Endi Prawiranegara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Bawono in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes PHOENIX SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adolf Karundeng who took care of the corner kick. Adolf Karundeng made a great header on SAPI FC's corner, it was just that PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri managed to reach the ball for a save. Harseno Julianto hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wawan Setiamiharja came free, but Akri Hasyim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, SAPI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yunus Kasela to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SAPI FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while PHOENIX SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
