Ali Kaan Ulağ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İlkan Şaki in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute İlkan Şaki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Kaan Ulağ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Altay SK's goalkeeper Bedirhan Ulualp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doğuhan Başeskioğlu. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mirza Özdoru made a kick off. İlkan Şaki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 54th playminute. Ali Kaan Ulağ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirza Özdoru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when İlkan Şaki got free with Ali Kaan Ulağ in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Merih Özdurdu during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Merih Özdurdu hit a great ball. İlkan Şaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Kaan Ulağ having to interfere. With 88 minutes on the clock, Hasan Tahsin Çetinsoy commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Altay SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
