Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Ahmet Arif Kutlay started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Arif Memduh Özsungur got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Muhittin Doğay in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Şefik Balcan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mehmet Şefik Balcan came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Predators's Hamit Öğüç. But to his dismay, Hamit Öğüç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Predators's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sabit Şahistan was slow to take the kick. During this time Newells Old Boys's players had a chance to rest. Ben Tuncay tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Emilian Martínez. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 19th minute. Muhittin Doğay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Şefik Balcan having to interfere. Newells Old Boys's Mehmet Şefik Balcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamit Öğüç in the 24th minute of play. Başaran Ersunal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Ahmet Arif Kutlay lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Emilian Martínez. The supporters of Predators booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. İslam Topçay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehmet Şefik Balcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhittin Doğay in the 44th minute of the match.

In the 53rd minute, Hamit Öğüç left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Predators fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Hamit Öğüç who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Mehmet Şefik Balcan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hamit Öğüç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Şefik Balcan having to interfere. Hamit Öğüç's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Mehmet Şefik Balcan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 69th minute Predators were awarded a corner. Afşar Özçevik went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Predators's Arif Memduh Pekalp got a free kick in the 70th minute. Emilian Martínez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Arif Kutlay went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute, Hamit Öğüç made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Şefik Balcan. Newells Old Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. After 83 minutes, İslam Topçay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newells Old Boys and the Predators players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, İslam Topçay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Predators's İldeniz Toktuğ shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Predators reached it. Hamit Öğüç kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 87thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Newells Old Boys's keeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 94th minute Ahmet Arif Kutlay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's Başaran Ersunal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilian Martínez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Predators players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
