Inge Godholm was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Marcus Lindqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The supporters of Vilbergen Boys Club booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiph Dahlberg charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiph Dahlberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vilbergen Boys Club getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Filiph Dahlberg hit a great ball. Marcus Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Godholm having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Johannes Torstensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linköpings AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Torstensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Arenstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marcus Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
57 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Lindqvist came free, but Inge Godholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Petter Billberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Marcus Lindqvist sped through Linköpings AIK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Inge Godholm. In the 62ndth minute of the game Marcus Lindqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Inge Godholm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leo Boberg came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Vilbergen Boys Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Boberg couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Aleberg during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vilbergen Boys Club booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Aleberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilbergen Boys Club's Andy Arenstedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Vilbergen Boys Club from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Karlsson in the 89th minute of play forced Vilbergen Boys Club's goalkeeper Andy Arenstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marcus Lindqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inge Godholm was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Lindqvist in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inge Godholm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Vilbergen Boys Club support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
