The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Wilhelm Wallgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Vinkel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Wallgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Boomerang Bombers's Frank Ahlström got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th match minute, Boomerang Bombers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Ahlström to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per Löfgren during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes IFK Vinkel got a freekick which was hit by Per Löfgren. In the 22nd minute, Helge Frisck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvin Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Filiph Samuelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute of the match, Edvin Norberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filiph Samuelsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. IFK Vinkel's Kjell Hellström was substituted for Per Löfgren. The supporters of IFK Vinkel booed when Boomerang Bombers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andréas Hallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Arvidsson in the 47th minute of play forced IFK Vinkel's goalkeeper Knut Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
