But to his dismay, Rutger Godholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. BK Gubbhöft's Kjell Abelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Åke Alstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BK Gubbhöft's Folke Hybbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Hermansson in the 19th minute of play. Sven-Oskar Låsberg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Kjell Abelsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Victor Sundström firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Per-Åke Alstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by BK Gubbhöft's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 38th match minute, BK Gubbhöft was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Andreasson to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Hermansson came free, but Folke Hybbert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Robert Hermansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folke Hybbert was relentless in the 41st minute of the game.
