If Per-Olof Stigsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Henley Utd booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Pihlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ove Käcker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Fanström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hampus Carlsson hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Kurt Fanström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Käcker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th play minute Per Tunberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Adrian Säv. 1-0. Henley Utd's Adrian Säv proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Henley Utd from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Fanström got free with Jens-Ove Käcker in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Säv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Tunberg in the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Kurt Fanström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Henley Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Fanström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henley Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
