Manchester City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tutor Militari the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Manchester City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tutor Militari:s goal. The goalkeeper, Nicodim Grecu, was totally fooled by Tutor Militari's Leonard Cazan, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 25 minutes into the match, Francisc Horațiu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tutor Militari's Cristian Manole. Cristian Manole was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisc Horațiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihail Vornicescu took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicodim Grecu. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Francisc Horațiu got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristinel Nae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Vornicescu came free, but Nicodim Grecu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Kylian Mbappè could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Cristian Manole however easily saved by the left post. Nicodim Grecu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Vornicescu in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Cazimir Golescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Grecu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicodim Grecu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Nae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kylian Mbappè's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Cristian Manole skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Francisc Horațiu took a quick shot and it went in 5-2 without a chance for Cristian Manole to make any attempt to save it. After 91 played minutes Tutor Militari got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Ioanițiu. Tutor Militari's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
