José Luis Chilavert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 31st minute Zygmunt Galaska shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC WAWER's José Luis Chilavert got control of the ball when Gilbert Niedzwiecki tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC WAWER's José Luis Chilavert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FC WAWER from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Galaska in the 45th minute of play forced FC WAWER's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Mieszko Lichorobiec sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Luis Chilavert skillfully saved the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wladyslaw Kaczucha to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Varsovia got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Niedzwiecki. Zygmunt Galaska kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franciszek Zuraw during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes FC WAWER got a freekick which was hit by Wladyslaw Kaczucha. 73 minutes into the match, FC WAWER's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Pawlak came free, but José Luis Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Bernard Banan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC WAWER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varsovia the free kick. José Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Niedzwiecki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, FC WAWER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piotr Wyrostek to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Gilbert Niedzwiecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Piotr Hendzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Varsovia booed when FC WAWER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Banach didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC WAWER's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Niedzwiecki in the 86th minute of play. The FC WAWER players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Varsovia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
