Jüri Alango tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Karhulan Veikot defense, Tauno Veevo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reijo Ilola. The Karhulan Veikot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reijo Ilola should have stopped the shot. If Mait Vask had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Viplala's Jarmo Virkus got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jüri Alango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaarlo Heliskoski, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 33rd minute, Tauno Veevo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Viplala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Ari Alin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, Tauno Veevo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Viplala and the Karhulan Veikot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ari Alin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jüri Alango having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauno Veevo in the 43rd minute of play forced Karhulan Veikot's goalkeeper Reijo Ilola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karhulan Veikot's Reijo Ilola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tauno Veevo in the 46th minute of play. The wind increased when Tauno Veevo made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karhulan Veikot's goalkeeper Reijo Ilola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kaarlo Heliskoski charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaarlo Heliskoski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reijo Ilola made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Tauno Veevo sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Mait Vask sped through Karhulan Veikot's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reijo Ilola. 93 minutes into the game, Mait Vask cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Reijo Ilola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Viplala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
