Chouliarades's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ the free kick. Nenad Križan scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theocharis Zouvelekis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Nenad Križan took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Theocharis Zouvelekis to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Chouliarades's zone, Damir Radojević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theocharis Zouvelekis came out of the goal and Damir Radojević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Damir Radojević notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Chouliarades's Theocharis Zouvelekis. Theocharis Zouvelekis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Nenad Križan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theocharis Zouvelekis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Theocharis Zouvelekis made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Toni Marčić sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Chouliarades's goalkeeper Theocharis Zouvelekis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Marčić. Thanks to some nice moves Damir Radojević could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Theocharis Zouvelekis however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ booed when Chouliarades was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Konstantinou didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Chouliarades defense, Anđelko Došen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theocharis Zouvelekis. The Chouliarades fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theocharis Zouvelekis should have stopped the shot. A collision led to GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dejan Filip hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Toni Marčić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theocharis Zouvelekis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivo Keber took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Theocharis Zouvelekis. Chouliarades's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Theocharis Zouvelekis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nenad Križan in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Damir Radojević nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theocharis Zouvelekis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Theocharis Zouvelekis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Marčić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Chouliarades's goal looked a bit too open when Nenad Križan came free, but Theocharis Zouvelekis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chouliarades getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Loukianos Pararas hit a great ball. Damir Radojević scored 8-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theocharis Zouvelekis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Chouliarades's goal looked a bit too open when Damir Radojević came free, but Theocharis Zouvelekis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giannis Miliokas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dado Savić having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Edo Sikirić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ and the Chouliarades players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Edo Sikirić got a free kick in the 88th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ fully deserved thier win.
