The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Tonon in the 6th minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Brian Soria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Yohann Prévôt came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yohann Prévôt couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Eurospeed Asti getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Andrea Alessandrini hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Isaac Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Bernal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmondo Mastronardi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 14 minutes, Étienne Lebret managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Étienne Lebret was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 15 minutes, Arkadiusz Milik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eurospeed Asti and the Formation Pure Lyonnaise players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Eurospeed Asti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Milik to maneuver through the defense. Brian Soria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Luciano in the 18th minute of play. Brian Soria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Trinca, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Edmondo Mastronardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Soria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Tonon in the 36th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Davy Giacomoni slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmondo Mastronardi. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Felix Nourry hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Tonon to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Formation Pure Lyonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Péret. Andrea Trinca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmondo Mastronardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davy Giacomoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Davy Giacomoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Mastronardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davy Giacomoni scored 2-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmondo Mastronardi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Davy Giacomoni came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans jumped to their feet.
