After 11 played minutes Cuatrodeocho got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Zubiaga. If Belmiro Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 15th minute of the match Benito Salan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benito Salan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 15th match minute, Cuatrodeocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Salan to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Ecija took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fagondo Huarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Los once leones Ourense booed when Cuatrodeocho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipo Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloisio Correa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Sarrate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fagondo Huarte to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Román Armada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Ecija. Cuatrodeocho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Román Armada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Los once leones Ourense's Aloisio Correa got control of the ball when Ulises Sarrate tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cuatrodeocho's Marcial Tarin was substituted for Uriel Zubiaga. Victoriano Ecija showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Román Armada in the 82nd minute of the match. After 88 minutes, Medardo Figueres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los once leones Ourense and the Cuatrodeocho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Medardo Figueres hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Cuatrodeocho were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
