But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Van Goethem couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Ron Everaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anani Garvalov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anani Garvalov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half FC Klavertje Vier were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Van Goethem made a kick off. Gerrit Van Boeckost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grisha Shekerdzhiev in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Simon Viergever was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Klavertje Vier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ПФК Миньор Раднево the free kick. After 57 played minutes FC Klavertje Vier got a freekick which was hit by Simon Viergever. After 58 played minutes, ПФК Миньор Раднево's Atanas Dzhadzhev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerrit Van Boeckost came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ПФК Миньор Раднево reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Robben Stessel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Klavertje Vier's supporters rose to their feet, but Robben Stessel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anani Garvalov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Klavertje Vier played a much better game than ПФК Миньор Раднево and deserved their victory. The ПФК Миньор Раднево players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
