After a rather tough play, Selebi-Phikwe's Quentin Villyn got a free kick in the 4th minute. Károly Tolnay scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dre Coomans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15th play minutes Károly Tolnay shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Dre Coomans and just under the crossbar into goal. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Sebestyén Király successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kurt Van Hove could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Sebestyén Király made a huge save. Géza Gál kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iván Túri to maneuver through the defense. Kaba Okala took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebestyén Király. Sebestyén Király dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Károly Tolnay in the 34th minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Dre Coomans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vince Sós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dre Coomans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanis Van Schoorisse in the 44th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Sebestyén Király to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Márton Zentay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dre Coomans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Selebi-Phikwe's Dre Coomans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lajos Domonkos in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
If Vince Sós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Selebi-Phikwe defense, Károly Tolnay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dre Coomans. The Selebi-Phikwe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dre Coomans should have stopped the shot. Dre Coomans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Károly Tolnay in the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Selebi-Phikwe's Dre Coomans got control of the ball when Károly Tolnay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebestyén Király showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin De Wulf in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Van Hove came free, but Sebestyén Király reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebestyén Király made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanis Van Schoorisse in the 71st minute of play. Refael Konings scored 3-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebestyén Király, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Károly Tolnay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selebi-Phikwe's Dre Coomans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vince Sós in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Selebi-Phikwe's Cederik Worteleers got a free kick in the 81st minute. Cederik Worteleers charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cederik Worteleers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 86 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Dre Coomans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vince Sós. Károly Tolnay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dre Coomans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The corner ended in Vince Sós almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Selebi-Phikwe's Dre Coomans did a great save. Sebestyén Király made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin De Wulf in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Yanis Van Schoorisse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebestyén Király. Szombathely Squirrels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yanis Van Schoorisse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Szombathely Squirrels players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Selebi-Phikwe.
