In the 3rd minute Cederic Kest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslav Kubálek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Moneyball's Anatolij Dirda got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, New York Giants's goalkeeper Tibo Kortens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Václav Abrahám. Tibo Kortens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alojz Remeš in the 12th minute of play. Anatolij Dirda's late challenge caught a New York Giants's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anatolij Dirda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Anatolij Dirda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Jeroen Loos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miroslav Kubálek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoachim Seveneijns in the 20th minute of play forced Moneyball's goalkeeper Miroslav Kubálek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Václav Abrahám struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Tibo Kortens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moneyball. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Tibo Kortens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Miroslav Kubálek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cederic Kest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslav Kubálek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoachim Seveneijns in the 35th minute of play. Yoachim Seveneijns kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Eddy Van Clynenbreugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, New York Giants's goal looked a bit too open when Alojz Remeš came free, but Tibo Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Václav Abrahám made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Václav Abrahám who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New York Giants's Tibo Kortens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute, Karel Lev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute Alojz Remeš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibo Kortens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karel Lev in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tibo Kortens saved New York Giants from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Václav Abrahám hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Alfons Kuhn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. New York Giants's Jeroen Loos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 75th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Miroslav Kubálek but with some difficulty. The supporters of New York Giants booed when Moneyball was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alojz Remeš didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Václav Abrahám in the 80th minute of play forced New York Giants's goalkeeper Tibo Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes Moneyball got a freekick which was hit by Garry Kasparov. In the 85th minute Yoachim Seveneijns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslav Kubálek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, New York Giants's Yoachim Seveneijns dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Yoeri Van den Brul hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. New York Giants's Tibo Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karel Lev in the 92nd minute of play.
