German Moret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eelco Neijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 16 minutes, Giel Zeegelaar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Winthont FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giel Zeegelaar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eelco Neijsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winthont FC's Jacob Hauvers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harley Grossi in the 28th minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Floris Talsma shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but German Moret showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. German Moret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Hof in the 37th minute of the match. Roland Koekkoek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ämmer Sportfreaks getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Roland Dagenais hit a great ball. Jacob Hauvers made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Harley Grossi sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Koekkoek to make the kick off. German Moret stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eelco Neijsen's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After 90 played minutes Ämmer Sportfreaks got a freekick which was hit by Benignus Melone. After 94 minutes, Eelco Neijsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Winthont FC and the Ämmer Sportfreaks players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ämmer Sportfreaks booed when Winthont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eelco Neijsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Silvio Lampart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacob Hauvers skillfully saved the ball. In the 96th minute Harley Grossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Hauvers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Winthont FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Winthont FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
