The Belo Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Waldemar do Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleandro Mesquita. Descalvados's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar do Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 20 minutes into the game, Belo Academy's Waldemar do Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aleandro Mesquita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 23 minutes, Fábio Marinho made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Descalvados's Aleandro Mesquita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Fábio Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aleandro Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Marinho made a kick off. With a little luck, Descalvados's Aleandro Mesquita got control of the ball when Rodolfo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Belo Academy booed when Descalvados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belo Academy's Waldemar do Vale shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aleandro Mesquita but with some difficulty. Rodolfo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Descalvados booed when Belo Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Edinho Barbosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Meirelles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Eliézer Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes, Descalvados's Edinho Barbosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodriguinho Meirelles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Descalvados reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Descalvados's zone, Waldemar do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleandro Mesquita came out of the goal and Waldemar do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belo Academy played a much better game than Descalvados and deserved their victory. The Descalvados players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
