After having played for 31 minutes, Sílvio Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fúria Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Arósio in the 35th minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Vladimir Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Cleiton Freitas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Marco Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Carvalho in the 40th minute of the match. Marco Marquez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Gustavo Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The wind increased when Alex da Silveira made the kick off in the second half. In the 76th minute, Fúria Futebol Clube's Wilton Nunes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wilton Nunes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fúria Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wilton Nunes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Vladimir Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fiori Arósio in the 78th minute. Franklin Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Marquez having to interfere.
