José Vítor Borges started the match with the kick off. José Vítor Borges hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Guilherme Ponta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Barros in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Barros in the 7th minute of play forced Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Guilherme Ponta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Caio Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guilherme Ponta. Joinville United - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caio Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Pura Arte F.C defense, João Pedro Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guga Luz. The Pura Arte F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guga Luz should have stopped the shot. After 22 minutes, Edu Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville United - FSCMZ and the Pura Arte F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Edu Moreira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Flávio Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pura Arte F.C's protests and gave Flávio Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. Flávio Ferraz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Guilherme Ponta came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pura Arte F.C's Caio Barros. But to his dismay, Caio Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 37th minute, Luiz Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edu Moreira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Guga Luz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleiton Neiva in the 45th minute of play forced Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Guilherme Ponta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edu Moreira to strike the kick off in the second half. Guga Luz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The supporters of Pura Arte F.C booed when Joinville United - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guilherme Ponta didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 89th minute, which inside left pole to 2-4. After 92 minutes, Gil Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pura Arte F.C and the Joinville United - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Pura Arte F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pura Arte F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
