The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Tepedino got free with Samuca Freitas in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cambotinha EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gláuber Teixeira in the 7th minute. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Emerson Barbosa hit a great ball. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when Cambotinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Vargas went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Celso Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Cambotinha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Tepedino couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emerson Barbosa during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Tepedino. André Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Tepedino in the 26th minute of play. Cambotinha EC's André Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Tepedino in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Samuca Freitas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidney Vargas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulinho Tepedino in the 52nd minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper André Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match, Paulinho Tepedino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Reis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Samuca Freitas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cambotinha EC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
