Adilson Palmeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Lupere FC booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lupere FC's Renan Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Lupere FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Vidal came free, but Adilson Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lupere FC's Adilson Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Vidal in the 29th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renan Quirino to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Renan Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fellipe Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. With a little luck, Lupere FC's Adilson Palmeira got control of the ball when Eriberto Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Eriberto Vidal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adilson Palmeira. Adilson Palmeira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. In the 74th minute Waka Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Eriberto Vidal could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Adilson Palmeira however easily saved by the left post. When Ricardo Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupere FC's protests and gave Ricardo Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Lupere FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waka Mineiro in the 86th minute of play forced Lupere FC's goalkeeper Adilson Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
