Elivélton Cunha succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Juninho Porto made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Armando Mota sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Elivélton Cunha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tamboril's Ismael Alves. The Quiroga F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 28th minute, Elivélton Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Elivélton Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ismael Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elivélton Cunha's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Elivélton Cunha made a great header on Quiroga F.C.'s corner, it was just that Tamboril's Ismael Alves managed to reach the ball for a save. 39 minutes into the game, Quiroga F.C.'s Dadá Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Alves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After 41 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Cunha. After 45 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Dito de Lara. The Tamboril players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quiroga F.C. were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulisses Antunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ulisses Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamboril's protests and gave Ulisses Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Ulisses Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Veiga in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Tamboril getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Samuel Teixeira hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goalkeeper Ismael Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elivélton Cunha. In the 74th match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Custódio to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Quiroga F.C. defense, Ulisses Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juninho Porto. The Quiroga F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juninho Porto should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Dadá Massa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Tamboril's Ismael Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Tamboril from getting a goal against them. In the 87th match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Sá to maneuver through the defense. If Elivélton Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Ulisses Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Cunha came free, but Ismael Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quiroga F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
