Pedrinho Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Urbano got free with Juninho Porto in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aílton Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Porto having to interfere. Pedrinho Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zandarin FC's Manoel Xavier got a free kick in the 17th minute. Quiroga F.C.'s Dagoberto Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aílton Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abelardo Pinho scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedrinho Severo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Quiroga F.C.'s goalkeeper Juninho Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Amorim. Amauri Veiga struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Pedrinho Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quiroga F.C.. When Abelardo Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Quiroga F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Pinho couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elivélton Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. It was beautiful to see Quiroga F.C.'s Dagoberto Lago in action when he in the 55th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 57th minute, Michel Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes Zandarin FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Schmidt. Amauri Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amauri Veiga's late challenge caught a Zandarin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Veiga to maneuver through the defense. When Aílton Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Zandarin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Amorim couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Massa to maneuver through the defense. Tony Marques got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Amauri Veiga. If Zé Augusto Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Aílton Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Juninho Porto. Quiroga F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The throw-in from Tony Marques in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zandarin FC's Délio Arósio. Amauri Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Severo having to interfere. Zandarin FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Quiroga F.C. had controlled the match.
