Celso Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Mattos having to interfere. Cláudio Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tales Batista in the 14th minute. After 14 played minutes Pratigipe EC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Mandrak. Cláudio Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino da Costa in the 15th minute of play. Cláudio Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute.
