A collision led to Alvinegro de Tupã getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Marcel Netto hit a great ball. In the 6th match minute, Alvinegro de Tupã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Donato to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match, Jeferson Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elói Cordeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alvinegro de Tupã's Elói Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Alvinegro de Tupã from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the game, Silvério Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C. Galera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvinegro de Tupã the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Gaspar in the 20th minute of play forced E.C. Galera's goalkeeper Agostinho de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, E.C. Galera's Carlinhos de Carvalho got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Sílvio Luís Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvinegro de Tupã's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Alvinegro de Tupã got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Lucas. In the 24th minute, André Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elói Cordeiro was a little too slow when Virgílio Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 31st minute, E.C. Galera's Jeferson Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elói Cordeiro. Elói Cordeiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 38th minute Virgílio Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvinegro de Tupã's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Virgílio Lago scored to the left of an out of position Elói Cordeiro, making the score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evandro Loyola got free with Elói Cordeiro in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elói Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franklin Favoretto hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Maranhense to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Jeferson Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Donato hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Diniz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Elói Cordeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute, Virgílio Lago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói Cordeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 73rd minute Evandro Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Lago came free, but Elói Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, E.C. Galera's Evandro Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elói Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. 82 minutes into the game, E.C. The referee showed Carlinhos de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There was no doubt that E.C. Galera were the better team. E.C. Galera's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
