The supporters of Galo na Veia FC™ booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute of the match Galo na Veia FC™ got a corner. Xiboquinha FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogério de Amorim ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 9 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Mendes. In the 11th minute Jano Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Galo na Veia FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Paes came free, but Elói Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elói Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Xiboquinha FC's Hélio Meireles suffered a sore thigh after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrício Ferreira during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xiboquinha FC's André Meirelles was substituted for Hélio Meireles. Galo na Veia FC™'s Elói Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Paes in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Paes in the 29th minute of play forced Galo na Veia FC™'s goalkeeper Elói Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galo na Veia FC™'s Elói Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Paes in the 30th minute of play. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Meirelles made a kick off. After taking down the ball on Galo na Veia FC™'s corner Rogério de Amorim fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frédson Freire quite easily take care of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Samuca Arruda notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Xiboquinha FC's Frédson Freire. Frédson Freire was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Xiboquinha FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galo na Veia FC™.
