The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betinho de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes Galo na Veia FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Negri. In the 17th minute, Samuca Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Betinho de Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Elói Medeiros. Galo na Veia FC™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Arruda in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silas Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the game, Dino Sanches was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estrela Solitária's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galo na Veia FC™ the free kick. A collision led to Estrela Solitária getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dino Sanches hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Fernandão Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jano Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Silas Bastos made a huge save. Silas Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Arruda in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Galo na Veia FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo de Lima to maneuver through the defense. Silas Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Lucas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Sousa in the 47th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Silas Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilton Coutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play Estrela Solitária's Dino Sanches was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 52nd match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Sanches to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Arruda in the 54th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Silas Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elói Medeiros came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Estrela Solitária's Wilton Coutinho. But to his dismay, Wilton Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alberto Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
