Gilmar Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Custódio in the 8th minute of play. Błαck Bułłs MZ's Gilmar Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Custódio in the 11th minute of play. Błαck Bułłs MZ's Augusto Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Carlos Augusto do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rony Gomes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Ademir Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ademir Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Paraibano in the 38th minute of play. Fernando Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ademir Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Błαck Bułłs MZ. Luís Fabiano Dantas's late challenge caught a Błαck Bułłs MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fabiano Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Augusto do Valle could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Ademir Cruz however easily saved by the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Augusto do Valle made a kick off. Ademir Cruz came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Błαck Bułłs MZ's Carlos Augusto do Valle. But to his dismay, Carlos Augusto do Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vila Nova FC's Ademir Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Paraibano in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Carlos Augusto do Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademir Cruz. Vila Nova FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Augusto do Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Augusto do Valle made a precise shot to the right of Ademir Cruz. Vila Nova FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 65 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto do Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ademir Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Zanette came free, but Ademir Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Błαck Bułłs MZ booed when Vila Nova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademir Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Paraibano in the 88th minute of play forced Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Ademir Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Fernando Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademir Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Carlos Augusto do Valle took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademir Cruz. Ademir Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Błαck Bułłs MZ had won after a very even match.
