With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renatinho de Andrade in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg William Corrêa saved Nonatos United from getting behind. Renatinho de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. William Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Sangue nos Zóio's Edgar Freire in the 18th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but William Corrêa was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Nonatos United through an amazing save. Sangue nos Zóio were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Nonatos United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Renatinho de Andrade took the corner. 2-0 became the score in the 22nd minute when Renatinho de Andrade elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Percival de Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nonatos United's protests and gave Percival de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Nonatos United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Edgar Freire scored to the left of an out of position William Corrêa, making the score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Freire kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving William Corrêa. That made the score 4-0 in the 37 minute of play. William Corrêa was a little too slow when Edgar Freire got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgar Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Corrêa having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Edgar Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Corrêa. Nonatos United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. When Zé Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Sangue nos Zóio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Trigo couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Nonatos United's zone, Renatinho de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Corrêa came out of the goal and Renatinho de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nonatos United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
