Roben Petralanda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Barros having to interfere. Yan Barros acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alexandre De Moraes. The supporters of MeioBilhão EmCaixaJuniors booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball.

José Maria Carvalho had in the 99thth minute some difficulties stopping Allan da Silveira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Clube do Remo MZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
