The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Balesio helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Leones Libertarios got a freekick which was hit by Victor Balesio. Domingo Rufio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Robustiano Semeno came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Leones Libertarios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Semeno couldn't finish the play. Leo Sindo struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Justo Policarpio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones Libertarios. The supporters of Leones Libertarios booed when Arribeños AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Pacifico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes Arribeños AFC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Esdras. In the 20th minute, one of Arribeños AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arribeños AFC. Martin Montay shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 28 minutes into the game, Leo Sindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leones Libertarios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arribeños AFC the free kick. A collision led to Leones Libertarios getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Leo Sindo hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Vladimiro Jordy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnulfo Pio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Domingo Rufio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnulfo Pio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 39 minutes into the game, Ernesto Esiquio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arribeños AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones Libertarios the free kick. Ernesto Esiquio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Robustiano Semeno came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Leones Libertarios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Semeno couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Rufio to make the kick off. Justo Policarpio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Arribeños AFC's goalkeeper Justo Policarpio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robustiano Semeno. After having played for 59 minutes, Leo Sindo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Libertarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Sindo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Arribeños AFC's Rodolfo Cugat got a free kick in the 64th minute. Justo Policarpio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Semeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Arribeños AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Semeno came free, but Justo Policarpio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Semeno got free with Justo Policarpio in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Leo Sindo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leones Libertarios's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Sindo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Policarpio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Leones Libertarios's Leo Sindo got a free kick in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Rufio in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Pio saved Leones Libertarios from getting behind. Leo Sindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 86 minutes, Gustavo Pacifico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arribeños AFC and the Leones Libertarios players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustavo Pacifico kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Arribeños AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Leones Libertarios for much of the match.
