Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Lyons's Valentin Piearres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Mar del getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. German Pinto hit a great ball. If Valentin Piearres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleto Fidencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Bidun in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of San Lorenzo de Mar del booed when Lyons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Valentin Piearres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleto Fidencio was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Cleto Fidencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Bidun went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 19 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Enol. 24 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Mar del's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Enol came free, but Cleto Fidencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. San Lorenzo de Mar del's Cleto Fidencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Bidun in the 27th minute of play. Valentin Piearres took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cleto Fidencio. Cleto Fidencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo de Mar del's zone, Valentin Piearres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Fidencio came out of the goal and Valentin Piearres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cleto Fidencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Bidun in the 37th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Piearres. After having played for 43 minutes, Tomás Bidun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Bidun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Piearres in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cleto Fidencio saved San Lorenzo de Mar del from getting behind. 47 minutes into the game, Lyons's Damian Senio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleto Fidencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Vincent was the one to do the kick off. Teofilo Baladi came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo de Mar del's German Pinto. But to his dismay, German Pinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Lyons's Valentin Piearres got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lino Mikeldi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Piearres got free with Cleto Fidencio in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Enol in the 70th minute of play forced San Lorenzo de Mar del's goalkeeper Cleto Fidencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Endura charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Endura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 minutes of play, San Lorenzo de Mar del's Arnoldo Vincent made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Baladi was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Bidun in the 79th minute of play forced San Lorenzo de Mar del's goalkeeper Cleto Fidencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lyons booed when San Lorenzo de Mar del was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Cisco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleto Fidencio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emilio Peru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 82 minute of play. German Pinto hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Jorge Enol dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cleto Fidencio, 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Piearres got free with Cleto Fidencio in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 93 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Enol. In the 94th minute, Lino Mikeldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleto Fidencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Bidun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The San Lorenzo de Mar del fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lyons were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
