Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jose Vincent took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when ELMUÑE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind ELMUÑE's goalkeeper Mauricio Santiago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Abuba Akotonon FC's Domingos Iaki got control of the ball when Jose Vincent tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when ELMUÑE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Donio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th match minute, Abuba Akotonon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Elixio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 19 minutes, Miguel Merentiel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Merentiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Hipolito Piarres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauricio Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes ELMUÑE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hipolito Piarres who took care of the corner kick. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hipolito Piarres was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mauricio Santiago in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute, Rolando Estevez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ELMUÑE's Bernardino Donio got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauricio Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Piarres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Abuba Akotonon FC's Urbano Fernanco got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Cirilo Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Estevez to strike the kick off in the second half. ELMUÑE's Mauricio Santiago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save ELMUÑE from getting a goal against them. Albano Elixio hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Arsenio Donzel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domingos Iaki. Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 57th minute, Albano Elixio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Merentiel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Abuba Akotonon FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mauricio Santiago acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Albano Elixio. When Miguel Merentiel came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Abuba Akotonon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Merentiel couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Piarres. In the 66th minute, Jose Vincent left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ELMUÑE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Domingos Iaki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Vincent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rolando Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Fernanco's late challenge caught a ELMUÑE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Fernanco helped the player get up and apologised. Urbano Fernanco hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Domingos Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Vincent in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ELMUÑE's Arsenio Donzel got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Abuba Akotonon FC defense, Jose Vincent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingos Iaki. The Abuba Akotonon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Iaki should have stopped the shot. Urbano Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Santiago having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Vincent in the 95th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Domingos Iaki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ELMUÑE had won after a very even match.
