Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) RB Chubut's Gabríel Batistuta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to O rey Iván getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Cosme Enmanuel hit a great ball. Ramiro Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabríel Batistuta in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute Gabríel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Transito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Aragones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, O rey Iván's Samuel Bibiano got a free kick in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Gabríel Batistuta put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ramiro Romelio. Astor Transito was a little too slow when Arnulfo Palben got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Marino came free, but Ramiro Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Gabríel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RB Chubut's zone, Arnulfo Palben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Transito came out of the goal and Arnulfo Palben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Aragones came free, but Astor Transito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Gabríel Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but O rey Iván's Ramiro Romelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amador Aragones was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Ramiro Romelio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 57th minute, RB Chubut's Gabríel Batistuta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After a rather tough play, O rey Iván's Tomas Romero got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Anselmo Arias sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and O rey Iván's Ramiro Romelio didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, RB Chubut's Ernesto Marino got a free kick in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Aragones in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Astor Transito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When O rey Iván's Amador Aragones in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RB Chubut's goalie prevented a goal. Anselmo Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's Horacio Txaran broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, O rey Iván's Ramiro Romelio got control of the ball when Gabríel Batistuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, RB Chubut's Gabríel Batistuta got a free kick in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Palben in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Astor Transito saved RB Chubut from getting behind. RB Chubut's Astor Transito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Palben in the 86th minute of play. Amador Aragones hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabríel Batistuta in the 90th minute of play forced O rey Iván's goalkeeper Ramiro Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eusebio Juvenal fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RB Chubut's protests and gave Eusebio Juvenal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Eusebio Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. RB Chubut had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
