Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Yala's Moises Bermund started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Tomás Espiridion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monky FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yala the free kick. Tomás Espiridion kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Amador Viator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Salvatore in the 4th minute of the match. Maximino Enekoitz struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ruperto Figueroa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monky FC. Monky FC's Nicolas Anaya got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Romero in the 19th minute of play forced Monky FC's goalkeeper Amador Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Maximino Enekoitz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Yala's Ruperto Figueroa. Ruperto Figueroa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Nicolas Anaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Bermund in the 28th minute of play forced Monky FC's goalkeeper Amador Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amador Viator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Aurken, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Moises Bermund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amador Viator read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. If Moises Bermund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Nicolas Anaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Zeledon Oro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amador Viator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Guido Feliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monky FC's Amador Viator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Bermund in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Moises Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Viator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Viator came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Yala's Moises Bermund. But to his dismay, Moises Bermund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximino Enekoitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Moises Bermund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Viator having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Maximino Enekoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Figueroa was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Modesto Raitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Sengrat kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mauro Vellito hit a great ball. Ruperto Figueroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Aurken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Viator having to interfere. Ruperto Figueroa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximino Enekoitz's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The supporters of Yala booed when Monky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Jakobe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bonifacio Romero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Yala's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Monky FC's Amador Viator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Monky FC from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Enekoitz came free, but Ruperto Figueroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honorato Ihintza hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Rumaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruperto Figueroa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
