Robustiano Atarrabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Sanchez having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Marcelino Herensuge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Sanchez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustavo Lon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Froilan Bizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
