After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Maquina 9-12-18! The goalkeeper, Jaime Hats, was totally fooled by Celta de Virgos's Bonifacio Pinto, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jaime Hats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Pinto in the 19th minute of the match. Arsenio Illan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in La Maquina 9-12-18's zone, Eusebio Presebal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Hats came out of the goal and Eusebio Presebal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Constantino Maura came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the La Maquina 9-12-18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Maura couldn't finish the play. After 27 played minutes La Maquina 9-12-18 got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Dominix. 31 minutes into the game, La Maquina 9-12-18's Constantino Maura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elberg Largan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 34th minute Constantino Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elberg Largan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celta de Virgos's Elberg Largan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Maura in the 36th minute of play. In the 47th minute Bonifacio Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Hats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Pinto in the 52nd minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jaime Hats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, La Maquina 9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Pinto came free, but Jaime Hats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Maquina 9-12-18's Jacinto Marcones was substituted for Amador Hechter. Rogelio Maule scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Hats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute, Bartolo Baleren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celta de Virgos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Jaime Hats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Presebal in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Jacinto Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elberg Largan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Saverio Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the La Maquina 9-12-18 defense, Eusebio Presebal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Hats. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Hats should have stopped the shot. Robustiano Mitxel hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Elberg Largan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Marcones in the 88th minute. Jaime Hats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Presebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rdth minute of the game Eusebio Presebal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Maquina 9-12-18's Jaime Hats was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Hats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
