Spectators: 163 (Terracing: 123, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Vélez Juniors's Guaberto Maraman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gilberto Peru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Peru hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Godoy. The audience was convinced that Guaberto Maraman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vasco was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Vélez Juniors were furious when Raul Enetz was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vélez Juniors! The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Jaen got free with Ulises Sandaili in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the game, Genaro Jaen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ulises Sandaili. Genaro Jaen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Desiderio Restu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Eustaquio Azibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Sandaili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2-1 became the score in the 62nd minute when Guaberto Maraman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustaquio Azibar couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Desiderio Restu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Guillelmus during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cremonese booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Argina hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cremonese fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vélez Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
