The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, New Whiteland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguez Huera came free, but Peter Cuevas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cumbicus Camino in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Cuevas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Escobar hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Peter Cuevas came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by DALO S.C.'s Cumbicus Camino. But to his dismay, Cumbicus Camino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of DALO S.C. booed when New Whiteland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaine Longoria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguez Huera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Cuevas having to interfere. Peter Cuevas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cumbicus Camino in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Rodriguez Huera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Cuevas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Cuevas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xulian Pejuan in the 25th minute of the match. After some careless play in the New Whiteland FC defense, Xulian Pejuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Cuevas. The New Whiteland FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Cuevas should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Cumbicus Camino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Peter Cuevas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. New Whiteland FC's Peter Cuevas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguez Huera in the 35th minute of play. Peter Cuevas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Valdaliso went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Duarte Cena's late challenge caught a New Whiteland FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded DALO S.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than New Whiteland FC.
