Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xzavier Balbanea started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Oylimpiamos Ψ's Santi Villafranca got control of the ball when Checa Cerezo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gutierre Avina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jairo Collador tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Ovando Fandiño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th match minute, Oylimpiamos Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovando Fandiño to maneuver through the defense. Liga de Quito's Checa Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gutierre Avina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute, Gutierre Avina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gutierre Avina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Gutierre Avina got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Checa Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Santi Villafranca made a huge save. Adolfo Cardeiro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Santo Rubion charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santo Rubion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Santo Rubion. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ovando Fandiño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oylimpiamos Ψ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovando Fandiño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Collador breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grueso Cabeza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Polo Gandara was the one to do the kick off. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Santi Villafranca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Checa Cerezo in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Oylimpiamos Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Ovando Fandiño. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Checa Cerezo got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Nestor Ibaute came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Liga de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Ibaute couldn't finish the play. In the 65th match minute, Liga de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andres to maneuver through the defense. Pudes Bachiller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jairo Collador. Liga de Quito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 69th minute, Gutierre Avina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Xzavier Balbanea fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga de Quito's protests and gave Xzavier Balbanea a yellow card for diving instead. Gutierre Avina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jairo Collador tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gutierre Avina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Jairo Collador made a huge save. Jairo Collador showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Polo Gandara in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Checa Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Santi Villafranca. Oylimpiamos Ψ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Oylimpiamos Ψ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
