After a rather tough play, Vampiros Aztecas's Amador Erroman got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Fabricio Gervaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tango en Miami FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Dalmu in the 9th minute of play forced Tango en Miami FC's goalkeeper Wayne Whitfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Dalmu's late challenge caught a Tango en Miami FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Dalmu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tango en Miami FC booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tango en Miami FC were furious when Ahmed Humphrey was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee ignored Vampiros Aztecas's protests and gave Epifanio Guillerme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Epifanio Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flint Braxton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Vampiros Aztecas defense, Wilson Short kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Gervaso. The Vampiros Aztecas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Gervaso should have stopped the shot. When Sidney Johnson came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Tango en Miami FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Johnson couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rigoberto Raymon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wayne Whitfield. That made the score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. Wilson Short fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Gervaso having to interfere.
When Rigoberto Raymon came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Vampiros Aztecas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Raymon couldn't finish the play. Wayne Whitfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Dalmu in the 54th minute of play. Christian Dalmu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Edmund Rowan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tango en Miami FC's zone, Amador Erroman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wayne Whitfield came out of the goal and Amador Erroman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tango en Miami FC's Wayne Whitfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Raymon in the 72nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tango en Miami FC's Flint Braxton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabricio Gervaso. That made the score 1-2 after 78 minutes of play. A collision led to Vampiros Aztecas getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Amador Erroman hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, Vampiros Aztecas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Erroman to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Tango en Miami FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Rowan. Tango en Miami FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
