Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Aizpuru in the 3rd minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Txomin Rujido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Juan Manuel Olivera. In the 8th minute Edelmiro Aizpuru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Txomin Rujido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Manuel Olivera to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Txomin Rujido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Aizpuru in the 13th minute of play. Txomin Rujido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Morales, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Edelmiro Aizpuru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txomin Rujido having to interfere. Txomin Rujido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remi Manzanal's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Txomin Rujido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Morales in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Manriquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportes Santa Cruz the free kick. Theodore Igarza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Virgilio Patiño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Manuel Olivera in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alipio Mason to maneuver through the defense.

Wilson Morales in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Txomin Rujido, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 58th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Manriquez to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Morales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Txomin Rujido made a huge save. 64 minutes into the game, Ben White was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportes Santa Cruz the free kick. In the 64th minute, Ben White hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Mercurio Pasos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Txomin Rujido but with some difficulty. If Rodolfo Manriquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remi Manzanal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes of play, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Juan Manuel Olivera made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgilio Patiño was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Edelmiro Aizpuru in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalie prevented a goal. If Iván Dayson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
