In the 35th minute of the match Markel Robles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilbur Farrell skillfully saved the ball. New England Minas's Wilbur Farrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Díaz in the 38th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Wilbur Farrell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Cisco Mazule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the New England Minas defense, Luis Díaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilbur Farrell. The New England Minas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilbur Farrell should have stopped the shot. In the 70th match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferman Arrieta to maneuver through the defense.
