Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xavier Sanjurjo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tin Larin in the 3rd minute of play. Israel Cordera kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Xavier Sanjurjo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anibal Faro. Dunamis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augusto Fresco in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Xavier Sanjurjo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Precioso. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Urtzi Jordana put in a rough tackle. 13 minutes into the game, Dunamis's Augusto Fresco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xavier Sanjurjo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 23rd minute Tin Larin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Sanjurjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Dunamis's Augusto Fresco to fire away a dangerous shot which Xavier Sanjurjo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Uxio Legazpi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidio Gabino. Dunamis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uxio Legazpi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carmelo Cristofor 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Thanks to some nice moves Orlando Precioso could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Xavier Sanjurjo however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uxio Legazpi during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dunamis booed when Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uxio Legazpi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xavier Sanjurjo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato from getting a goal against them. After 41 minutes Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augusto Fresco who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Dunamis getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Orlando Precioso hit a great ball. Ovidio Gabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uxio Legazpi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Benjamin Unzueta made the kick off in the second half. Israel Cordera kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Monge Cuero struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ovidio Gabino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato. When Benjamin Unzueta fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's protests and gave Benjamin Unzueta a yellow card for diving instead. Xavier Sanjurjo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Neicer Maltrana fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's protests and gave Neicer Maltrana a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato got a freekick which was hit by Neicer Maltrana. When Shingo León came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Dunamis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shingo León couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Methee Gol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavier Sanjurjo. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Methee Gol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After 96 minutes of play, Dunamis's Methee Gol made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xavier Sanjurjo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dunamis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
