After 7 minutes, Renato Infante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ and the Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato players grew even worse after the yellow card. Renato Infante kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Chalá Gamboa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Chalá Gamboa hit a great ball. After 13 played minutes, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Renato Infante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xavier Sanjurjo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ reached it. Xavier Sanjurjo came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Renato Infante. But to his dismay, Renato Infante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 17 played minutes Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Unzueta. 24 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Infante came free, but Xavier Sanjurjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Egaña. Pau Schiappacasse hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Renato Infante notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xavier Sanjurjo. Xavier Sanjurjo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Naelio Barticciotto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesus Egaña hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Renato Infante couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato. 65 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Xavier Sanjurjo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Infante. The crowd rose to their feet as ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Rufino Otero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xavier Sanjurjo. That made the score 0-3 after 70 minutes of play. With a little luck, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xavier Sanjurjo got control of the ball when Renato Infante tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Benjamin Unzueta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Unzueta in the 86th minute of play forced ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s goalkeeper Fabio Melipil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-4 became the score in the 94th minute when Benjamin Unzueta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ played a much better game than Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato and deserved their victory. The Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
