Nikola Alvaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikola Alvaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Wes Gillespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Eutor Ulibarri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penuel Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ForestFire the free kick. ForestFire's Wes Gillespie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikola Alvaro in the 18th minute of play. Penuel Football Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christiano Fortuño in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlton Daly in the 21st minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Victorio Detres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Portero hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Wes Gillespie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikola Alvaro's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Whitney Pelletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Victorio Detres made a huge save. Nikola Alvaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wes Gillespie having to make a save. In the 33rd minute Nikola Alvaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wes Gillespie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikola Alvaro in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wes Gillespie saved ForestFire from getting behind. ForestFire's Wes Gillespie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan José López in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikola Alvaro made a kick off. Nikola Alvaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wes Gillespie came out and tried to block the shot, but Nikola Alvaro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Nikola Alvaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wes Gillespie was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Wes Gillespie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Alvaro in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goalkeeper Wes Gillespie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikola Alvaro. Wes Gillespie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikola Alvaro in the 72nd minute. In the 81st minute Nikola Alvaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wes Gillespie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Penuel Football Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Penuel Football Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
