After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Desiderio Handi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águilas Poblanas's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Handi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elton Lackey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Desiderio Handi scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elton Lackey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Saverio Chuse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrea McGhee went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th match minute, Águilas Poblanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Guerau to maneuver through the defense. Desiderio Handi took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elton Lackey. Elton Lackey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Christian Osoro got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, Desiderio Handi made a precise shot to the right of Elton Lackey. Galatic Dragons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When Águilas Poblanas's Desiderio Handi in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Roberto Mateus got a free kick in the 45th minute. The Galatic Dragons players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Águilas Poblanas were winning 1-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Desiderio Handi to strike the kick off in the second half. Saverio Chuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea McGhee, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Desiderio Handi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elton Lackey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galatic Dragons's Mitch Calvert got a free kick in the 54th minute. Virgilio Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Virgilio Guerau fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Virgilio Guerau a yellow card for diving instead. Galatic Dragons's Eugenio Shaver was substituted for Connie Dixon. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Virgilio Guerau got a free kick in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Galatic Dragons's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Guerau came free, but Elton Lackey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Galatic Dragons booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Von Kirby made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Hobert Carter. Águilas Poblanas's Virgilio Guerau got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Virgilio Guerau off the ground. In the 89th match minute, Águilas Poblanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Guerau to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Mateus got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Águilas Poblanas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
