In the 3rd minute, Herensuge Villafranca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerónimo Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matxin Uceda having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerónimo Brito in the 8th minute of play forced Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Matxin Uceda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pacifico Cezuago kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerónimo Brito during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Magallanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerónimo Brito to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sociedad Anónima's Pacifico Cezuago got a free kick in the 13th minute. Matxin Uceda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Paillemil in the 17th minute of the match. Sociedad Anónima's Matxin Uceda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Paillemil in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Magallanes's Victoriano Paillemil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matxin Uceda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sociedad Anónima's Matxin Uceda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliverio Boonen in the 25th minute of play. Pacifico Cezuago got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Sociedad Anónima getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pacifico Cezuago hit a great ball. Zornin Colunga charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zornin Colunga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Magallanes booed when Sociedad Anónima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zornin Colunga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Vladimiro Leroy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matxin Uceda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matxin Uceda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Manuel Losada in the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Salomone Marrodan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's goal looked a bit too open when Gerónimo Brito came free, but Matxin Uceda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
