The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cesaro Rebolleda hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Playa Malvín defense, Nicky Cavazos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosalio Azcoitia. The Playa Malvín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosalio Azcoitia should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Racing Miami Futbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
